I started my journey as a photojournalist in the United States Marine Corps. Serving six years as a combat photographer, I traveled the world capturing images of the aptly nicknamed “Uncle Sam’s Misguided Children.” Alongside my fellow Marines, I trained to the same standards and was afforded access to see the sights few ever get to see.

I’m a Michigan based photographer currently pursuing a degree in journalism from Michigan State University. With a background of public service, I believe in upholding the tenets of journalism: providing accurate and complete information to the public. I have experience producing multimedia projects, still photography and informative writing.

While at Michigan State, I have expanded my skills while serving as a staff photographer and later the multimedia editor at The State News and also as a contract photographer for Imagn Images, USA Today’s photo wire service. I've also produced content for the Detroit Free Press and MLive, two of the largest news media organizations in the State of Michigan. I possess the confidence and ability to operate independently in a fast-paced industry, but I’m always on the hunt to push my own boundaries.
